Buying commercial properties for investment is an alternative investment vehicle for investors looking at maximising their portfolio on top of their residential properties. It is also to escape the ABSD inposed on residential properties in Singapore. Foreigners are eligible to buy commercial properties in Singapore which has a much lower quantum espeacially for industrial/commercial properties. Other commercial properties available for foreigners are commercial retail shops, restaurants and canteens/supermarkets. We do have such properties available which comes in 30 year leasehold, 60 years leasehold, 99 years leasehold and Freehold. 

A good start to commercial real estate is to just look at the latest interest in residential new launches. A potential increase in residence units is a good indicator of how commercial real estate will perform. In a land-scarce country like Singapore, property with commercial are always liked by investors. With more owners-investor looking at residential, why not consider commerical? Price of commercial has stabilized and current is the best time to consider commercial real estate as investment.
